Day 267 #MakeArt365
Shrill Bird of Wisdom, ink, 2015
"The owl however, the shrill bird of wisdom, turned its head uneasily from side to side and finally fixed its round eyes on the blind soldier. "That's all very fine," it screeched, "but a man who has fought so long for his country and talks like that cannot go on living" And it flapped away. And in fact the man died within a few days. But not all of him died, for his young son remembered enough of that night to live as a free man later on." -'The Fatherland', Horacio Quiroga, translation by Howard Young
